We are looking for a General Managers (GM) who are people centric and want to be a part of a growing Brand to be responsible for the successful and profitable operations of a P. Terry’s restaurant. Pay is depending on experience.
What You’ll Do
As a GM you will:
- Build a great restaurant culture
- Embed P. Terry's in the communities we serve through strong crew member and guest relationships and Local Restaurant Marketing
- Build strong teams by networking, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring Managers and Crew Members
- Consistently train and develop Crew Members and Managers
- Verify and ensure training standards are being maintained
- Direct the Management Team, including setting weekly management schedules and assigning areas of responsibility
- Support the Management Team in developing and leading initiatives that build sales, profitability, and store performance
- Plan, prepare, and oversee weekly, monthly, and yearly inventories and budgets
- Manage weekly and monthly P&L
- Ensure all cash handling policies and procedures are being followed
- Oversee the cleanliness of the restaurant and preventative maintenance of the equipment and building
- Understand, manage, and practice safe food handling procedures
- Act as primary liaison with all restaurant vendors and HQ contacts
- Attend weekly and quarterly meetings
- Perform other job duties as assigned
What you Bring (Requirements of a General Manager)
- Must have two to three (2-3) years of GM experience
- Experience in Quick Service Restaurant environment, is preferred
- Experience in drive-thru, is a plus
- Motivated and thrive in a high-energy, high-volume environment
- Hands on leader that can lead in both the Back of the House (BOH) and Front of the House (FOH)
- Positive competitive outlook - with a “Yes” mindset
- Bilingual, is a plus
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Ability to give and receive detailed information through oral communication (frequently required to talk and hear) and have specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be willing to work up to 10 hours shifts, stand for several hours and walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to read (orders on tickets, menu board, receipts, etc.)
- Frequently required to sit and/ or stand for an extended period of time (7+ hours), look at a computer screen for an extended period of time, be on the phone for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate a computer, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, and bend for long periods of time
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as walking, kneeling, stooping, reaching, crawling, grasping, pushing, pulling, and climbing, as well as lifting weights of up to 40lbs and carrying for up to 20ft and reaching for objects on shelfs at varying heights
- Must have physical and mental ability to drive a vehicle for long enough to reach the home office and any P. Terry’s location with reasonably short breaks
