Terry’s Burger Stand, we pride ourselves on serving high-quality burgers and fries using the freshest ingredients—all while creating a warm, welcoming experience for both our guests and employees. Behind the scenes, our IT team ensures that operations run smoothly across 41+ burger stands, a commissary, and our Home Office, keeping our technology, network infrastructure, and IT services in top shape.
 
We are currently seeking an experienced IT Support Tech II with a background in the restaurant industry to join our team and provide advanced technical support to our staff and locations. 
 
What You’ll do
  • Serve as a senior-level technical resource, providing advanced troubleshooting and support for IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network problems. 
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to POS systems, restaurant management software, network connectivity, printers, and other restaurant-specific technologies.  
  • Collaborate with IT Support Techs and IT Specialist to ensure timely resolution and appropriate escalation of high-priority issues. 
  • Create and maintain thorough documentation, including incident reports, problem reports, troubleshooting steps, permanent solutions, and knowledge base articles within our ITSM.  
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure projects, such as system upgrades, network expansions, and security improvements. 
  • Train and mentor junior IT support staff, sharing knowledge and best practices to promote professional development and continuous improvement within the team. 
  • Monitor and analyze IT systems and networks for performance, stability, and security issues, recommending and implementing improvements as needed. 
  • Collaborate with vendors and partners to ensure effective support, maintenance, and integration of third-party technologies. 
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to restaurant IT systems.  
  • Perform other IT-related tasks and projects as assigned. 
What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills)
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree, in technology 
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support within the restaurant industry is preferred. 
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL 4 Foundations, ITIL 4 Create, Deliver, and Support) are a plus  
  • If no bachelor’s degree, then 3+ years of tech experience with relevant professional certifications: CompTia A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL 4 Foundations, ITIL 4 Create, Deliver, and Support, CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet Certifications, Microsoft Certifications, etc., is required 
  • Advanced knowledge of restaurant-specific hardware and software, such as POS systems, kitchen display systems, and restaurant management application is preferred.  
  • Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and mobile operating systems, as well as common desktop and productivity applications. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain advanced technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively. 
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on-site support, as needed. 
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including late nights, overnights, weekends, holidays, and long travel time as needed.  
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with flexibility for early mornings, late nights, weekends, and travel for projects and new stand openings. 
  • Ability to give and receive detailed information through oral communication (frequently required to talk and hear) and have specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • Frequently required to sit and/ or stand for an extended period of time (7+ hours), look at a computer screen for an extended period of time, be on the phone for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate a computer, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to walk, climb, and bend for long periods of time. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on-site as needed (including hands-on installations, cabling, and hardware setup).
  • Must have physical and mental ability to drive a vehicle for long enough to reach the home office and any location with reasonably short breaks.

Compensation: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
